  • What was once a typical split-level home was completely reimagined through a strategic addition and full exterior transformation. By adding a second story above the existing living and kitchen areas, we created an entirely new private primary level featuring a spa-inspired bath, custom oak millwork walk-in closet, and a dedicated den retreat.

The renovation extended far beyond added square footage. Replacing the original double-hung and bay windows with taller, regularly spaced casement windows dramatically changed both the architecture and the experience of the home — bringing in significantly more natural light, visually elongating the facade, and creating a cleaner, more contemporary aesthetic.

Inside, the formerly dark and compartmentalized living spaces were transformed into a bright, open-plan kitchen and living area that now serves as the welcoming heart of the home.

Thoughtful architectural interventions can completely change how a house looks, feels, and functions — often without starting from scratch.

Bilotta Architecture collaborated with Encore Construction to bring this full transformation to life.
